Hi Andy Which "Government Website" did you find the map's etc....for Symonds Street Cemetery?....My gggrandfather died 1884 in an Auckland Hospital. I have never been able to find his grave or source any information as to where he maybe buried. There were a large number of graves moved from Symonds Street / Grafton cemetery to allow the construction of a new motorway. (family history says that his grave may have been one of those)Waikumete Cemetery opened c1886....Symonds Street cemetery may have closed about then???
