HISTORY UNRAVELLED Professor Russell Stone is the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Auckland Historical Society on Saturday 3. He will talk about the earliest history of the Auckland region and the changes over the period up to the 1840's It is a common misconception that Auckland's history began in 1840 when there were many important events before then. Professor Stone published a book on the subject last year which drew widespread acclaim. Copies will be for sale at the meeting. The meeting begins at 10am at St Luke's Community Centre 130 Remuera Rd. It is open to al with an interest in History. There is a door charge of $2.
