Hello All, Welcome to the new NZ-Auckland Roots Web Mailing list. The purpose of this list is much the same as all the other Roots web lists, and that is to pursue genealogy. This list is aimed primarily at the greater Auckland area, Auckland City and the surrounding districts. There is a wealth of information out there about Auckland, it's history as the first capital of the new colony in the 1840's, and the families who emigrated here in the hopes of a better life.
