Dear Listers, I am new to this list and am trying to find information on a relative who went to NZ and joined the Sisters of Mercy in Auckland. I have information on that part of her life but she left the order and the Sisters do not know what happened to her afterwards. I have found her death and received the death certificate on Friday. I have found reference to her on the archives office of NZ Auckland. I am wondering what may be on this file. As I live in Brisbane Australia it is a bit difficult to visit the office my self. Iam wondering if this file would be a will or probate or what. This lady died a spinster. Her name was Mona Isabella(Isabel) Gumley Sutton born NSW born 3 February 1898, died in Auckland 24 November 1973. Hi Elaine, Re. Mona Isabella Gumly SUTTON. Yes, her Probate records are held in Auckland Archives. You can contact the office yourself and they will do a search for you and send you a copy.It should show you just who she left her worldly possessions to.
