Mr ROLLESTON acknowledges the resolution as follows: -"Thanks for your telegram, quite agree that a Minister has no right to telegraph unless authorised by Parliament." At the Presbytery today the clerk said that a letter had been received in relation to the invitation to Messrs MOODY and SANKEY to visit New Zealand, stating that they found it impossible to do so. It was decided to write to the Rev. John M'NEIL, Scotch evangelistic minister, asking him to visit the colony. The men working on the Mokau Co-operative railway works are collecting information as to the most suitable blocks in the King country for settlement under the small farm system. There is at present only one small block, available in Government hands, but it is too far from the railway line. Admiral SCOTT has informed the Harbor Board that he is well pleased with the docking accommodation for warships in this port.
