Someone phoned my grandfather in the 1950's to tell him of his fathers death. Robert STEELE , was a producer of Films in New Zealand during the lat 1930 - 1970s. He was avant guide at times producing a film (never publicly shown) in 1946 , "Curves & Contrasts , however most of his films were of the "bread & butter" variety. Robert was born in 1903 in Fremantle WA & died in January 1975 in Auckland. He was born Robert FEARN , appears to have used FEARN STEELE, then just STEELE.
