Hi Elsbeth, > He had several children, Esther, Elizabeth, David, Robert& Gwen. who I > think lived their lives in NZ. You've posted to the Auckland mailing list - did they have any connection to Auckland at all? You might be better off writing to the New Zealand mailing list (http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/NZL/NEW-ZEALAND.html) for assistance if they lived in other parts. When were these people born? Did any of them have other given names? With a surname like ROBERTS these are important details to help distinguish them from others with the same name. You may also find these sites useful: BDM Online - Historical Records (https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/Home/) Archway (http://archway.archives.govt.nz/) Archives New Zealand (http://www.archives.govt.nz/) PapersPast (http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/) Appendices to the Journals of the House of Representatives (http://atojs.natlib.govt.nz/) Kind Regards, Wendy Howard -- Kaiwaka, Northland, New Zealand http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wendyh65/ <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/%7Ewendyh65/>
I am hoping to trace some descendants of a Gt. Gt. Uncle of mine.. here are the details.... His name was David Roberts also known as Dafydd Roberts, and I have seen him known as David Donald Roberts and Dafydd Bryn Pyll He was born in Trefriw in Caernarvonshire, North Wales in 1835, his parents were Gwen Jones (from Dolwyddelan) and Robert Roberts of Coed Gwydir, Trefriw. He was married to an Elizabeth (Mullholland) who I think was the daughter of a draper from Belfast He died in 1890. in Sydney NSW whilst he was on his way back to visit his family back in Wales. He is reputed to have led a colourful life, including pearl fishing, a mariner's life, bigamy and all round rebel! He had several children, Esther, Elizabeth, David, Robert & Gwen. who I think lived their lives in NZ. Is there anyone on this list who thinks that they may have connections? Elsbeth Pears (in the UK)

Why don't you start from the beginning to find the pages you're after... Go to https://www.familysearch.org/ Click on "Australia and New Zealand" Click on "New Zealand, Immigration Passenger Lists, 1855-1973" Now you're at the URL that was broken in the previous emails, https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/show#uri=http://hr-search-api:8080/searchapi/search/collection/1609792 I can see that page just fine, following those directions. If you can't, try rebooting your computer, clear out your browser's cache/history, and see if that makes a difference.
