    2. John Meyers
    3. Good morning I have just received an amazing diary about a Meyers family in New Zealand. Names linked include Herman Buggle or some close spelling like Bouggel, from Blenheim. The family seems to have come from Bremen in Germany, where my Meyer family came from in 1763. Places in NZ include Lyttleton and Palmerston North. If anyone has an interest, please contact me off list. I will need to get the hand writing translated as I cant read it all. John Meyers NSW NZSG#21372

    3. Dr. BAKEWELL, whose recent article in the Nineteenth Century on "Woman Suffrage in New Zealand" has been so widely canvassed and discussed, has decided to practice his profession in Napier for a time. He has taken rooms in Herald Chambers, Tennyson-street. Mr E.H. BOLD, who is leaving Napier to take charge of the Auckland telegraph district, was yesterday presented by the officers of the Napier district with an electro-plated soup tureen, spirit kettle, and fish slice. Mr HARRINGTON, officer in charge, made the presentation in a neat speech that was feelingly responded to by the recipient. Upon the tureen were engraved the following words:- "Presented to E.G. BOLD, Esq., by his fellow officers at the Napier telegraph district. May 25th, 1894."
