Philander was my great-grandfather. I live in Calhoun County where he lived. Specifically I am in Marshall, Michigan where Jannett and Livingston Brooks lived. I have information on their children but little info on Philander and his time in Yates County - in fact I went there to research and had no success. A direct relative of Jannett's Claudette Kortz also researches. We are both on Ancestry with family trees. Mine is Thomas Dorman Ancestry and it contains info on the Powers.
