Since I live so far away, years ago I bought the entire Yates County Cemeteries set, plus many of books written about the area. Cyrus Bardeen is my 2nd great-uncle and Emogene Gillett is my first cousin four times removed. I was admitted to the DAR based on the service of her grandfather, Jabez Gillet, who is my fourth great-grandfather. I have a lot of information on both of these families. My interest in Hannah and her sister Abigail developed while looking for documentation on the Bardeens back to Moses Bardeen (1756-1837?), the Revolutionary War veteran, trying to prove that he is the father of Calvin Bardeen, my fourth great-grandfather. As is often the case, I got sidetracked and started filling in the blanks of other ancestors. Cyrus is an interesting fellow. I'll post what I've found about him soon.
