Do anyone know other than Nettle Valley Cemetery, does community of Potter have a cemetery close by? Nearest cemetery appears to be Nettle Valley Cemetery There is a marked point of cemetery for Yatesville but does it have proper name? The marked spot is not named other than mere "Cem". It is southwest of Yates Voak has one east of it but like Yatesville, is not named. Please reply asap. W. David Samuelsen

David,   Nettle Valley is the main cemetery for Potter.  There are many family cemeteries in the area.  These were all catalogued by Fran Dumas, County Historian, several years ago.  Her brilliant efforts produced six volumes on the Yates County Cemeteries.  They are available from the Yates County Historian's Office www.yatescounty.org    click on Departments, click on Historian.   I have a copy of the volume which contains Potter.  The Yatesville Cem. is located next to the Old Yatesville Meth.
