In the collection is a rather large folder of research she compiled on the Yates Family of Pittstown, NY. The genealogical info begins with Richard Yate, noted Loyalist who was a British aide-de-camp and merchant in NYC. It continues at least partially for 5 generations, ending with a focus on Huldah Jane Warren, born 1830 who married Addison Goodnell and brother William R. Warren who married Jeannie E Smith. There is also a note that says "The English Yates family are not to be confused with the Dutch Yates Family who are in colonial times, numerous in the Albany-Troy-Schenectady area and beyond." In addition to the genealogical info, the folder also contains newspaper articles and book excerpts about this family. Since these families are not in my direct line, I would love to put them in the hands of someone who is in one of these lines and would appreciate having them.
