On census records he states he was born in NY, but Army records say NH. He was married 7 Dec 1843 in Lowell, MA. I have read of a Calvin Honey who started a store in Yates, Honey & Fitzsimmons I think, but it failed. It was built by Harpending, I believe. I'm wondering if this storekeeper Calvin Honey, who married Amanda Winfield there, could be my Calvin Honey's father. I have really hit a brick wall with this since there are several Honey Families in New England from 1700's on, and I cannot seem to connect my Calvin Honey with the right parents. If anyone has historical information to share, or more information on the Calvin Honey of Yates, it would be greatly appreciated. My Calvin Honey came West to California about 1854. Thank You.
