Below I will also post a further explanation; I should have put a bit more thought into my original post. I am attempting to become aware of any organization, in this county, that considers itself to have a genealogical function. Genealogical function may include, but is not limited to, genealogical societies, lineage societies, historical societies, libraries with local history and genealogical collections and archives and family societies. If your organization is in existence, with many or few members, please contact me. My request is both for my individual research and to share with my fellow researchers who are members to the New York State Council of Genealogical Organizations.
