I've seen that lots of places but I can't find any proof that Homer and Sarah were his parents. Samuel's death certificate doesn't have anything for them. All the census records for Samuel state his parents were from New York and all of them for Homer except the 1850 say his were from Connecticut. The obit has that he was born in Rensselaer County but a professional for that county couldn't find anything for him so I'm trying to find my 3rd great grandparents.
