    1. [NYYATES] SAMPUBCO - effective search results
    2. W David Samuelsen
    3. Based on weekly and monthly reports I get from the search engines.. There are best results to obtain: The BEST Results?? Be mindful - all lists are always "SURNAME, given name" Three best ways with QUOTEMARKS " 1. "Surname, " (put a space after , then ") 2. "Surname, given name" (don't bother to try for middle name (middle names produce poor results) 3. ", Mary" - will work if you are not sure of married name but will produce a LOT of results! 1. Don't bother trying without quotemarks, you get more unwamted results. 2. Don't try county name, just go to the county list and you get more results there. 3. Don't try state name, just go to the state in question and browse. 4. Don't try these words - probate, guardianship, etc. Just go to appropriate sections. You get better results. http://www.sampubco.com/

Emmons/Emens/Emons, son of Richard and Sally Emmons, born on or about April 1829 in Steuben County and died after 1905, probably in Yates County. He was married secondly about 1879 to Mary E. (Horton) Wortman, daughter of Reuben and Sally A. Horton and widow of Ezra Wortman. Mary was born in Yates County, but lived a few years in Steuben County with Richard. They moved to Starkey by 1892 and were living in Barrington in 1900. Mary apparently died 1900-1905, but Richard still appeared in Barrington in the 1905 state census. He probably died 1905-1910. 3. Shelly The Dr. Ralph Nelson ISHAM (1831-1904) listed in your posting married the sister of my great aunt, Hariett E. Snow Jones. I have indirect contacts with the Isham family through a mutual friend. Given the many individuals contained in the photo album and the album's potential genealogical value to many Chicago-related familiies, you may want to consider donating the album to the Newberry Library in Chicago. Based upon my past genealogical research at Newberry, I know the library has the Isham family papers dating back to the 1870s. The Newberry website site for genealogical holings is: http://www.newberry.org/genealogy/guides.html Should you desire to make such a donation I can provide you, off-line, with the names of my contacts at the Newberry Library.
