Members of the Eastern Star chapter in Java Village elected Annette SIMMONS matron and Otis MAYNARD patron. The first residents moved into Arcade Manor. Eileen WAGNER was the resident manager. The Street Sneaks athletic supplies store opened. Connie BROWN and Tami PHILLIPPI were the owners. The Odd Fellows lodge in Arcade elected Kenneth JAQUISH noble grand, and the Eastern Star chapter in Machias elected Mrs. William LAMBERT matron. Harold CRABB took over management of the Davis Liquor Store in Arcade. Lee and Mabelle HAWKS HOLMES of Yorkshire observed their 60th anniversary. Valerie ANGEVINE of Lockport and Pvt.
