They traveled 2,000 miles by bicycle. Haskell KNIGHT and Fred REIMERS were elected to the Holland school board. Herbert and Ethel KITTLESON SCHAUS of Machias observed their golden anniversary. 35 Years Ago - August 8, 1968 The Herald staff was on vacation. 50 Years Ago - August 6, 1953 The Reverend Gomer MILLS completed a 22-year pastorate at the Sandusky Baptist Church.
