Dear Friends, I am relatively new to this list. I descend from Fargo, Day, McWhorter, Kimball of Warsaw and from Rescom Tallman of Castile. There is no gravestone at John McWhorter's (1737-1813) burial site, in the Old Pioneer Cem., Warsaw --- just bronze DAR/SAR plaques to honor his Rev. War service. Saw reference, in a family tree submission on the web to someone's having seen John's gravestone at "Homer Holly house." Wyoming Co. Historian verifies that there was a Homer Holly residence, at 127 Wyoming Ave., Warsaw. This Holly family descended from John McWhorter also. This sighting was apparently in the early 1990s. I was unable to contact either the submitter, or the person who claimed to have seen the stone. Does anybody know anything of the whereabouts of this stone? Does anybody know Holly descendants who might know of its whereabouts? I would love to have a picture(s) of this gravestone and to know what was inscribed thereon. Thank you very much.
