I am helping a friend. her grandmother was Lilly Kniffin Carter, born July 30, 1872, Perry, N.Y. She died in 1950 in Minnesota. Acc. to my friend, Lilly's father was Thor (Thorn?) Kniffin and mother was Lauretta Taylor. Lilly had a brother, Ward B. Kniffin, and sisters Elsie (Atkinson), Pearl (Brady), and Elva (Spayer). Family photos include Earl A. Taylor and Floy (Floyd?) W. Taylor. Acc. to my research in 1880 census, these may be sons of Reuben and Julia Taylor, Perry Town. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone on this list? It may be that the Taylors were from Perry and that the Kniffin's were from elsewhere. I do not know at this time. Thanks you in advance for any assistance or leads you may be able to give me.
