I am seeking information on the various Nichols families who resided in Genesee and Wyomong Counties, New York. My ancestor, Riley T. Nichols was born in Genesee (later Wyoming County) in 1819, and married Phila Gay, daughter of Samuel Gay and Betsey Logan in 1841. They later removed to Gratiot County, Michigan where Riley died in 1868. I notice that a large number of the Zadock and Malinda Nichols family are buried in the Dale Pioneer Cemetery. Perhaps Riley was their son. Also a Barber Nichols who supposedly had 19 children lived in Wyoming Co. for a time. Any information on the Nichols family of Genesee and Wyoming County would be appreciated, particularly those that might be the ancestors of my Riley T. Nichols.
