Hi, In the History of Town of Java, in the article "The Town of and The Township of Java" by William Roche, page 67, Bill refers to Ferd Bartz having the "register from the old [Markey's] hotel which goes back years and years. I believe he also has some old pictures and if anyone would get in touch with George Fitzmaurice, he is 94 and lived around Java and Sheldon till 1933....." The History was compiled in 1976.
