Deaths: Sanford "Sandy" PALMATEER, 45, of Holland; Linda WAGONER PICKENS, 86, formerly of Arcade; Orville BUSH, 72, of Java; Charles FELTON, 66, of Machias; Donna PECKHAM COOK, 50, formerly of Delevan; Arthur VOLK, 92, of Delevan. 35 Years Ago - October 31, 1968 The Army presented a posthumous Silver Star to the family of Warrant Officer Dwight DEDRICK of Delevan, for his actions during an enemy attack on Hue, Vietnam, the previous January. He was killed during the attack. Dale FERINGTON was elected president of the Java-Strykersville Kiwanis Club. Gregory FRISBIE, 22, of Holland, died as the result of an auto accident. 50 Years Ago - October 29, 1953 The senior class at Holland Central School presented the play "Ever Since Eve.' Among the cast members were Theodore BEMB, Patricia MORITZ, Albert NAGEL and Gordon HESSEL.
