More deaths: Claris PERSONS, 84, formerly of Delevan; Joan COOPER KANNER, 71, formerly of Holland; Lillian SMITH DALY, 97, formerly of Arcade; Perry FAHY, 89, formerly of Arcade. 25 Years Ago - March 1, 1978 Deaths: Leona HOWELL, 73, of Delevan; Iva COLE SACKINGER, 68, of Yorkshire; Harold PERRYMAN, 69, formerly of Yorkshire. 35 Years Ago - February 29, 1968 Fire heavily damaged a house owned by LaVerne MARBLE near Sandusky. A barn of the Arthur ARGAUER farm near Holland was destroyed by fire. Stan JANAS of Delevan and Marlene BOEHMER of Machias were crowned king and queen of basketball at Delevan-Machias. Their crown bears were Ricky WATSON and Sheryl SHICK, both of Delevan.
