Dear WyCo List, Has anyone seen the book: 10,000 VITAL RECORDS OF WESTERN NEW YORK, 1809-1850 ? Genealogical Publishing Co. did a reprint in 1999, and Ancestry.com is selling it for about $20, borders.com for $25. The description is:"The 10,000 vital records in this work were drawn from the marriage and death columns of five western New York newspapers published before 1850: the Republican Advocate of Batavia, the Steuben Farmers Advocate of Bath, the Geneva Gazette, the Jamestown Journal, and Palmyra's Wayne Sentinel." I'm just asking to help decide whether to buy it or not. I wonder if there would be much from Wyoming Co.? Pre-1850, were there any local papers (Perry or Warsaw), or might Batavia been the closest? Any comments would be welcome. Randy Hume
