    3. Greetings, I would like to find somebody to locate and send me copies of the will and/or probate records, if they exist, of my ancestor Bezaleel Beede, who died in Pike on 29 Aug 1856 or 1857. He was born in 1785 in New Hampshire and lived in Eagle and Pike from 1815 until his death. If you live within a reasonable distance from where the records are kept and are able to do this for me, I will gladly pay for your time and expenses. Thank you. Jack in Carson City

    3. This web site: http://www.sampubco.com/wills/ny/nywyoming1.htm lists the wills filed in Wyoming County from 1841 to about 1900 and doesn't list your ancestor. The Mormons have these records on microfilm - you can look in their card catalog at www.familysearch.org to see what years are covered by the different volumes (for example, wills from the mid 1850's might be in volumes 61-1, 61-2 and 61-3). If anyone is interested, I have the data from the web page formatted into a spreadsheet so it can be sorted by volume and page number (i.e. in chronological order), by township, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jack" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 31, 2003 7:58 PM Subject: [NYWYOMIN] Wyoming County Wills & Probate Records > Greetings, > > I would like to find somebody to locate and send me copies of the will > and/or probate records, if they exist, of my ancestor Bezaleel Beede, who > died in Pike on 29 Aug 1856 or 1857. 3. Even though there was no will, there very well could be probate records which often times give at least as much, or more genealogical information than wills.
