Borden's executive A. Carl BEARDSLEE of Arcade retired after 46 years with Borden's. Lucille PIEDMONT was elected president of the VFW auxiliary in Arcade. Erie and Cattaraugus were among the 20 counties in the state selected to field test the new polio vaccine. Chester and Blanche DODGE NEWLAND of Arcade observed their golden anniversary.
