According to the family information, Horace Putney died in the Civil War. I sent for his records and got a certificate of disability for discharge. He had rheumatic in the joints in his hands and feet. He was discharged in Washington, D.C. He joined the army the 24th of October in 1861 and he was discharged in July of 1862. At that time he was about 20 years old. It told he was about 5 foot 7 inches tall. Had dark complexion,grey eyes and dark brown hair. I would think he would have come home. His parents were John and Dulinda Putney both gone by that time. Dulinda is buried in the Hatch cemetery on Old Buffalo Rd. any one got any ideas. Jann Whalen Parks looking for those Putneys.
