I am looking for information on a Charles Stevens, mentioned in the obituary of my great grandfather, Theodore Stevens (who died in Perry, NY in 1922). Charles may have been a relative of Theodore and I am looking for clues as to members of this family. The Nunda News 8/11/1922 Theodore Stevens, formerly of Nunda died at Perry this week. (Briefed): Theodore Stevens passed away Monday morning, August 7th at 10:30 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Stevens where he and his wife were visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens who have been living in Cleveland, Ohio the past three years, about six weeks ago came to Nunda to visit relatives, coming to Mr. Needham's ten days before as Mr. Stevens was anxious to see old Perry friends. He had suffered from leakage of the heart for several years and has had several attacks since coming here, and Monday morning he walked but climbing a hill, aid was summoned and he died about 15 minutes after getting to the house. Mr. Stevens was born in Orange County 68 years ago and came to Nunda where he married Lovey Carroll and where their children were born: Marion, Mrs. Chas. Lynde, Wm. and Clinton H. all of Cleveland, Ohio. They and the wife all survive him. Twenty four years of his life was spent in Perry, 19 of which he worked on the farm for the late Chas. H. Toan. Also attending the funeral with his children are his granddaughter, Mrs. Albert C. Gerlick and grandsons, Harry and James Lynde of Cleveland and niece, Mrs. Fred DeMocker of Nunda.
