The Pioneer Faculty Association presented the Mary Chase class, "Harvey," as its scholarship play. Jane STEVENS was the director, Jeff MASON played Elwood P. Dowd, and havey played himself. Deaths: Scott CLOSE, 18, of Machias; Edith SAVAGE HAAG, 73, of Holland; Max WITHERIL, Arcade; Edward KIC, 28, Delevan. 35 Years Ago - May 15, 1969 Joe and Betty MILKS opened Delevan Liquors. Deaths: Mary WILSON, 81, of Sanduskey; Agnes GILMORE, 70, of Freedom; Earl EBERLIN, 72 of Freedom. 50 Years Ago - May 13, 1954 Ground was broken for the new Boy Scout building in the Arcade Village Park. Mrs. Victor MARSH was elected president of the firemen's auxiliary in Delevan. Deaths: Charles DAY, 67, of Curriers; George ROBINSON, 87, Yorkshire; Dana SHEDD, 80, of Arcade; Edwin CARYL, 63, of Sardinia; Della ALMETER WINCH, 69, of Arcade.
