source: Progressive Batavian Batavia, Genesee County, New York State April 11-1873 Man Killed Near Attica.-On Saturday last Mr. George SHAW, who resided in the south-east part of the town of Attica, was walking on their Erie Railway track, and as a train approached stepped from the track but did not get far enough away. He was struck by the bumper of the engine and killed.
