Jane VACINEK opened E & F Simply Yarns in the Arcade Village Square on West Main Street. Deaths: Rita MEYER GEORGE, 59, Eagle town supervisor for nine years; Florence RITTER DAVIDSON, 77, of Sandusky; Ruth HARRINGTON CLARK, 81, of Arcade; Audrey TRAUTMAN HARTMAN, 63, of Bliss; Ruth WOOD FESS, 90, of Arcade. Charles NEWMAN of Arcade was elected Wyoming County judge. Craig HELMS played the lead in the Pioneer senior play "Don't Drink the Water." Deaths: Clifford TWISS, 85, of Freedom; Edward CASEY, 61, of Machias; Lois MONNIN FULLER of Arcade. 35 Years Ago - November 15, 1967 Winners in local supervisor races were C. G. KNIGHT in Arcade, Merton PERRY in Eagle, Vincent GEORGE in Sheldon, Marvin SAMPSON in Farmersville, Mearl WEAVER in Yorkshire, Richard WIEDEMANN in Sardinia and Harry HERRMANN in Holland. Arthur CARLSEN, who had been Sardinia supervisor since 1952, was elected to represent the 20th District in the Erie County Legislature. Hyland DAY Jr. of Arcade was elected president of the Wyoming county Farm Bureau. Deaths: Albert SEEWALDT Jr., 23, of North Java; infant Mary Jane WINIARSKI of Arcade. 50 Years Ago - November 13, 1952 Fred WAGNER resigned as the postmaster of Delevan. Ronald CUDWORTH was elected president of the Arcade Men's Club. Wilton NEIDRAUER was elected president of the Chaffee-Sardinia Kiwanis Club.
