Deaths: Suzanne MACK, 90, of Machias; infant Alyssa FINCH of Farmersville Station. 25 Years Ago - October 26, 1977 Mr. & Mrs. John KLIMCZAK of Chaffee observed their golden anniversary. Harry BLOWERS of Arcade died. 35 Years Ago - October 25, 1967 The Arcade Chamber of Commerce honored Dr. George G. DAVIS of Arcade for his 60 years of service to the area's medical needs. Delevan natives Bruce and Chris DEDRICK and their sister, Sandra ZYNCZAK, had formed a vocal and instrumental group called "The Free Design." The group had released two recordings of songs written by Chris, entitled "Kites are Fun" and "The Proper Ornaments." Mrs. Elwyn MEAHL was installed as noble grand of the Rebekah lodge in Delevan. Mrs. Patrick HALE was elected president of the firemen's auxiliary in Machias. Deaths: Glenn KELLOGG, 27, of Machias; Ellen (Nellie) SULLIVAN ALLEN, 76, Francis DRAKE, 58, formerly of Arcade. 50 Years Ago - October 23, 1952 The Holland Kiwanis Club received its charter. The club contained 26 members and was headed by President Burt FILER. Ed WOOD starred for Holland's soccer team in two wins over the Gow School of South Wales. Joyce DOMES was installed as president of the American Legion auxiliary of Sardinia. p. 10 & 11 - 50th & 60th Anniversaries: Peter HOFFMAN and Edith HACKETT were married Sept. 25, 1952, at St. Nicholas church in North Java. Richard DUNCAN and Beverly DICKEY were married on October 23, 1952, in Yorkshire Methodist Church. Vernon KLEIN and Gloria IRISH were married on November 1, 1952, at the Springville home of Rev. Andrew O'CONNOR. Preston RICE and Connie KITTLESON were married on October 3, 1952, at her parents' home in Sardinia.
