Spirit of the Times Batavia, Genesee Co., N.Y. November 28-1885 Twenty head of cattle belonging to Fred. A. STEVENS, of Maplewood stock farm of Attica, were sold in Chicago Saturday last at prices ranging from $150 to $260. Mr. S., not caring to make more sales at such low figures, shipped the balance of his herd, some 70, back to Attica. * Mr. Benjamin HAY, of Holley, was standing by a man who was putting up a stovepipe in his house, on Friday afternoon, and instantly fell over on a chair. He was picked up and laid on a bed and lived about two minutes. This is a solemn warning against having anything to do with stove pipe. * submitted by Linda Schmidt
