James BUSH of Holland died at age 95. 25 Years Ago - November 9, 1977 Deaths: Ronald PIXLEY, 23, of Machias; Randall KELLEY, 24, of Delevan. 35 Years Ago - November 8, 1967 The Rev. Frank DAVIS, formerly of Arcade, retired after 40 years in the Baptist ministry. Cyrus WALDRON of Arcade received a 50-year service award from the Borden Foods Company. Mr. & Mrs. John HAMM of Java Lake observed their golden anniversary. Installed as noble grand of local Rebekah lodges were Jean BRACE at Bliss and Connie RICE at Chaffee. Hazel VALLANCE FORD of Delevan died at age 68. 50 Years Ago - October 30, 1952 James NICHOLS was re-elected president of the Delevan-Machias Kiwanis Club. Robert SCHIENER was installed as commander of the Sardinia American Legion post. Constance KITTLESON of Sardinia and Preston RICE Jr. of Chaffee ware married.
