CHAPMAN, late of the Baptist church of Attica, has accepted a call at a generous salary to the First Baptist church of Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Charles JUDD has been appointed station agent of the Erie at Warsaw, in place of D.V. HIBBARD, transferred to Tonawanda. Mr. JUDD has been a clerk for some time in the Warsaw office. * Well-Known Attica Man Dead. Mr. J.H. BUTTON, one of Attica's most respected citizens, died at his residence corner of Water and North streets on Thursday afternoon. He leaves a wife to mourn his loss, who has the sympathy of the entire community, in her bereavement. Mr. A.W. LANDSHTEL is about to start a paper at Bliss. The citizens of this town wish him much success in his new undertaking. The St. Luke's church benefit entertainment at Williams' Opera House last evening was a grand success. About $25 above expenses was realized. P.F. SHILLINGLAW will go to Buffalo about January 1st to start in the dry goods business. Amos G.
