She kept fairly good family records, so I have a little bit of information on the family which I will share below. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more. James Blayney Packman (born 1854 in Poolewe, Ross-Shire, Scotland. D: February 1941. Married to Margaret Elinor Whyte, born February 1, 1861 in County Cavan, Castleblayney, Northern Ireland. D: March 30, 1934. My records say that she died of pneumonia. They settled in Mount Vernon, NY and as Harry mentions, there is some sort of indication that they had a farm in New Town or Newton, CT. They had the following children: Earl; Colin (Wife's name is Margaret and they have a daughter named Peggy Ann). Harry Packman, killed in WWII at age 24. There is a street (Packman Avenue) named after him in Mount Vernon, NY. Alicia B. Packman -- she was born on 10/10/1890 in Mount Vernon, NY. Last known age 103 on 10/10/1993. James Blayney Packman B: 05/28/1887 Married Maude Estelle (Burlington?)Campbell Packman in 1910 D: 01/24/1952 Helen Burlington Packman Rutherford was their daughter. She married Robert John Rutherford at Bay Ridge Methodist Church in Brooklyn, NY on July 13, 1941. My mother, Carol Rutherford Edwards was born in Brooklyn. I hope this is helpful!
