My father was closer to William's younger brother Robert (aka Shaky) who I know is in his 80s and still alive but I really don't know him well enough to ask him about the family. My family has come across an oral history of the Barr's and their journey from Scotland to New York, which I'd be happy to send to you if you're interested.     3. Hi:       I went to school at the Brick Church School in Monsey, NY from 1940 to 1948. I had 2 teaches there by the name of BARR. they were a married couple, she taught 5 and 6 grade and he taught 7 and 8 grade and was the principle.
