His sons Daniel and John Secord fought in the War of 1812.They lived in Brantford, Ontario and then the family (Daniel Secord Jr married to Elizabeth Perrin) moved to Oakland, Ontario. There is documentation about Daniel Secord , Loyalist losing his land deed in a fire and his sons went to the Six Nations chief's and had another copy done. I got a copy from Oshweken a few years ago.The land deed can be found at the Land office in Brantford, Ontario.Daniel Secord Jr and his wife Elizabeth are buried in the Oakland cemetery. Some Secord researcher have Daniel Secord, Loyalist (mine) who fought with the Indian Department as the son of Daniel Secord and Elinor Archer and others who say he is the son of Peter Secord and Abigail Fowler. Daniel Secord UE of the Grand River is a Loyalist in his own right so I have my proofs back to him. I am willing to share the information I have.
