We have created a on-going "Colonial Family" series covering the lineages of families in certain regions of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia. We would like to begin a seres for early families in Westchester Co. and adjoining counties. We have begun amassing data on the following families: Betts, Budd, Cornell, Drake, Ecker, Ferris, Fowler, Gedney, Guion, Haviland, Hunt, Hyatt, Leggett, Palmer, Pel, Purdy, Underhill, Vail, Van Cortlandt and Willett. Over the next several months I will be scanning through the early deed books (on LDS microfilm) to add further to the data base. We are looking for someone who has access to Westchester records to further expand our research of these families and review our work. In addition a review of existing family histories is needed.
