I have only spent a couple half-hours on the books.google site, and have found some wonderful things, The history of Long Island by Ross, and a few copies of the Collections of the NY Historical Society from the 1890's, Pelletreau's Abstracts of NY Wills, as well as several that Dick mentioned.
