Apron string cousins.....that's a new one on me , Bob. LOL. I've heard of "kissin' cousins" and " shirt tail cousins" but never apron string. With all those Sherwoods we have in common does that make us "apron string" cousins?? Either that or "blood cousins"!!! Since I am a direct descendent of Thomas Sherwood of Stratford/Fairfield, I really would be a blood cousin of others so descended, but if a brother of my ancester Sherwood, along the way, married a Staples, then those Staples are my apron string cousins. Right? Bob, I too am descended fromThomas Sherwood thru his son Stephen who married Rebecca Turney so I guess we are blood cousins. I see now what you mean about the apron string ones.
