To start I don't know what name he would have used in France. Have found the surname spelled 46 different ways so far. He came to the USA around 1690 with his wife and 2 children (Jean & Pierre). Can't find any records that go back that far. He married a Judith (last name unknown). She died 12 Nov 1694 and is buried in the French Church du Saint Esprit, 111 E. 60th St., New York City. I wrote them a letter and they have no records on her. I can find data on them in this country, they settled in Westchester Co., NY. But I would like to know where they came from in France so I can trace the family there. Is there anyone out there that has some ideas where I can look for this family in France? What ship they came over on? What Judith's maiden name was? Bill Forshay - San Antonio, TX billforshay@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Don't get soaked.
