Here's what is on the cemetery card: Smith, Samuel H, dob 1808, dod Aug 15,1871, date of enlistment Oct 4 1861, date of discharge Oct 25, 1862, Wounded Sept 17, 1862 at Antietom, MD (that's the spelling on the card). I know from family records and Dale Cemetery records that birth and death dates are correct so that would have made him 53 yrs old at time of enlistment.
