    3. I've often wondered that with the surnames AURY and AVERY. When handwritten on a census they look the same. My specific brickwall is Hannah Aury who signed the will of Joseph Gee in 1716 in Westchester with my 7th great grandfather......and major brickwall..... Matthew Smith . The only "Aurys" I'm finding are ORRYS and none are in that area .....very few anywhere that I can find. Averys in comparison were in Westchester in the 1600s and onward. Does anyone know more about this??
