Along the subect line. I recently learned that my mother never had a birth certificate. She was born at home in 1912 and delivered by her grandmother, who was a practicing Midwife. Her name was Wihemina Nordenadler Dahl and lived in Sleepy Hollow and may have delivered some of your ancestors as well. Anyhow, the event never did get recorded, so when my mother retired and went to file for Social Security, they gave her a very hard time. What I can't figure out, is how she got by with out it all those years. Charles
