I totally agree. The good thing about our Spanish immersion program is that it is also an English immersion program. Instruction alternates weeks as to the language in which it is conducted. As I said before, third graders must pass the exams in both English and Spanish despite their native language. AND in this part of the world, depsite my objections and protests (certainly no one cares about my opinion), Spanish is necessary for the conduct of most businesses. Barbara L. de Mare, Esq. I was the international guy for my company and had lots of worldwide travel. All of our Purchase Orders and Contracts were written in English, no matter where in the world it originated. We may be putting our children who only speak Spanish in a deficit postion when it comes to many types of employment.
