I have a few family addresses - Bronx, NY my two Great-grandfathers were butchers in the 1880 to 1920 time period- John Schulz - butcher is listed at 811 Cortland Ave, Bronx, NY Fernand Hirsch - butcher is listed at 804 Melrose Ave. Bronx, NY Are either of these areas still the same or have they been torn down for renewal? My guess is that the families lived over the shops. And I would love to get a photo of the stores if they are still there, does anyone know the nearest cross street to these addresses if I have to order a old photo from the city? My Great-grandfather Joseph Dickinson, census 1900 is listed at 10 South 10th Ave, City of Mount Vernon, NY - does anyone know if this address is still there? Again a cross street would be helpful if I need to order a old photo from the city. Thanks, Carol L. Heap

I am looking for ancestral information on Cornelius Nagle/Nagel, born in Westchester in 1797; he married Catherine Ann Gansvoorst Leggett in 1844; he was a lawyer in NYC, and died in Brooklyn in 1870. He mostly spelled his name Nagle, although I think he is Dutch. Two families- the Dykmans and the Nagles were the original settlers and land holders in NYC in the Westchester area, and there was a house of the Nagle's called The Century House, near the Robert Morris house in earlier years; it was near Kingsbridge. He might be related to my gg grandmother Catherine Nagle from Ireland; it is possible that she met her husban, Shubael Edgar Swain, a lawyer like Cornelius, through Cornelius; the two men had law offices next to each other. Both families are also tied up with the Leggetts. It is a real puzzle, but situationally looks like a big clue. I can't find info about his ancestors.
