    3. I bet those of us who love to do family research can find ways to use it to interest young people in history, geography, culture, language, etc. I had a lousy experience with history classes in school, but doing family history has sparked my interest. There are lots of ways to do this, but it isn't easy unless you live in a culture that respects these things. Even if a minority of us are able to do something about the situation, that is very important. Since most children arent book oriented, then good historical vidoes or visual media can be helpful to start them on the right track. At least we can leave a good legacy as an example. I live in the West, but grew up in a small town near NYC ( Old Greenwich, Conn.). I lived on that coast most of my life, and there is so much historical there to see, that that is another way- family trips to see these things. About the Spanish problem- the only way to change the problem is to change laws, and it seems that it has become a precident. When something becomes a precident, it is hard to fight that. So maybe you have to work with individual children caught in this situation, I don't know. I heard a lawyer lecture and say that the best way to destroy the Constitution is to hav the UN make a precident, and then all other nations follow through on adopting that. We are in difficult times, but there must be some solutions. Sue
