Looks as if his wife is claiming no right to his estate except her legal right of dower (which he can't wiggle out of)....and also looks as if he doesn't have the cash to give her at the time of the reading of his will. Isaac Kniffen might have been a relative who lent dowry money to her father and thus would have a legal claim if it hadn't been paid back. I have no idea if these claims were filed at the time of their execution. Maybe you can Google "indenture Tripartite" . It sounds like a three party indenture.....wife, her father and Isaac against estate of the husband.
